Day01 - Flight

We stayed up all night to help us sleep on the plane. Randy and Ross came with us to the airport. We arrived at SeaTac at about 4:15 after missing our exit. We flew Canada Jazz airline to Vancouver. Our flight left at 6:00Am. We had trouble with the eticket along with most of the people in line with us. A lady and her daughter bought a seat for a Cello. The ticketing agent didn't print them a boarding pass for the Cello. By the time it was straightened out they boarded the plane as some of the last passengers. The stewardess chewed them out for not boarding early. The cello people were not happy with her! Upon arriving at Vancouver we found our 11:00AM flight was delayed to 1:15. They gave us a $16 dollar food voucher so we had a nice breakfast. We boarded a 767-300 that was only about 60% full. The 12 hour flight went faster than we expected. We both slept about 3 hours and watched a movie. I watched 10,000 BC and Mom watched Flawless. Each seat had a monitor and USB connection. Every other seat had a 110 connection for a laptop. We didn't use the laptop. They fed us four times. First a drink and snack, then a meal with chicken and potatoes, then a meal with chicken and rice and a final cup of noodle about an hour before landing. Dad used his chopsticks mom her fork. The Innovations in Travel guide, Leon, met us outside customs. Toni and Andrew were on the tour and rode with us to the hotel. The 40 minute drive took about an hour and a half. The driver had several near misses. The planned dinner was put off until night two. We had trouble figuring out the 220 plugs and adaptor. The internet connection costs about 1 yuan a minute so we will down load pictures for day one and two tomorrow, I hope.

We included a photo of our sons, Randy and Ross, for our new friends.
