Under gloomy skies we met at the Safeway parking lot in Enumclaw along with a score or two of jeepers heading for Natchees Pass. The gondola was running and there were many cars in the parking lot. Reaching the top we found the mountain 95% covered and the surrounding hills not very polite about coming into view. A quick stop for hot chocolate in the lodge turned into a full lunch. The plan to hike down was abandoned when the rain started. We reassembled on 410 at the Skookum Falls turn out. After another sound soaking we completed the day with a cold libation at the Nachees Tavern in Green Water.
